## Software Description

MSI has discontinued upgrades for Amira. Amira has been replaced by
Avizo. Please refer to [this page](https://www.msi.umn.edu/sw/avizo) for
details on Avizo.

Amira is a powerful, multifaceted 3D software platform for visualizing,
manipulating, and understanding biomedical data coming from all types of
sources and modalities.
## General Linux

To load this module for use in a Linux environment, you can run the command:

	module load amira

Depending on where you are working, there may be more than one version of amira available.
To see which modules are available for loading you can run:

	module avail amira
