## Software Description

RECON is software for automated de novo identification of repeat
families from genomic sequences. This software was originally developed
by the Eddy lab. A newer version that fixes several bugs is available
from the [RepeatMasker webpage.](http://www.repeatmasker.org/)
## General Linux

To load this module for use in a Linux environment, you can run the command:

	module load recon

Depending on where you are working, there may be more than one version of recon available.
To see which modules are available for loading you can run:

	module avail recon
