Tip
In August 2026, we updated the COMSOL calendar to be more efficient with our licenses. Now, instead of reserving ahead, reserve at the time you are ready to make use of the COMSOL license. Note the new steps, below.
To reserve a COMSOL license:
Create a new COMSOL reservation using the form below
Select reservation duration e.g., 4h, 8hr, 24hr
Specify features you expect to use based on their availability
Request a COMSOL session on Open OnDemand
Extending Reservations
Users with 10 minutes or fewer left in their current reservation may create a new reservation to extend time if there are enough base licenses available. A maximum of 2 days is supported for any one reservation.
License Calendar
Warning
If a user is found to be using the software without a calendar reservation, MSI reserves the right to cancel the user’s session. As of December 2025, if a user is found to be using the software without a calendar reservation repeatedly (more than once), MSI reserves the right to remove the user’s access rights to that software.

MSI only has six COMSOL licenses, so please reference the reservation calendar to make sure your submission doesn’t conflict. If you are unable to see the calendar or form, please check that you’re logged into the MSI website first, then refresh this page.
